Quite a bit has happened in the last week or so. I found out a couple days ago that I got past the IU screening part to study abroad in London! Now, I am just waiting to see where I am going to intern. I am really hoping to intern at Parliament - it should be awesome. I am already thinking about all the places I'm going to go while I'm there and all the things I am going to see. So far on my agenda are Scotland, Stonehenge, and the white cliffs of Dover.
This week I also decided to play intermural soccer with a couple friends. Our games are going to be on Mondays and it should be a lot of fun. I am a little rusty since I have not played since 2005, but I am looking forward to a reason to exercise regularly. Otherwise I am just not motivated to do so.
In other news, I am hoping to go to Indy with Nathaniel tomorrow to find a restaurant that serves good seafood. We really miss that part of Atlanta. The city is not far from good fishing, so you can go to a good restaurant and know you are getting fresh fish from the ocean. It's a little different here, since mostly I think Indiana relies on fish farms. We will see if we can fnid a good place tomorrow though.
Then, in two weeks, we are going to Telluride, Colorado with a bunch of friends to go skiing. Our friend has a mountain house out there so we are basically going for very cheap. He also has skiing passes for us so we probably don't have to pay for that. We just have to worry about gas and food. I am looking forward to it, but I am also worried because I have never been skiing before. And I am starting in the Rockies. Yikes. Maybe I will just watch...

V-day and other things
Good weekend. Nathaniel forgot to make reservations for Valentine's Day until Thursday... so instead he made me dinner! He made chicken picatta with mashed potatoes, green beans, and caeser salad. It was actually really good, although I had to help him out a LITTLE bit...
Friday night we went out with a friend for her 21st birthday. Of course Nathaniel and I could only go out to dinner because we are not yet 21. It seems everyone is turning 21 and going out to the bars, except for Nat and me. At least we can be youngn's together.
I found out the other day that I am going to be an aunt! My older brother is having a baby with his wife in October. We have been waiting for this for a while, so it's really exciting! I cannot wait to help babysit and watch the baby grow up.
I have been trying to write this post for like 2 hours now. I am working in the main floor of the library and everyone is here it seems, doing homework. I too am guilty of waiting until Sunday of the weekend to do all of my homework and studying, but today I wish everyone was not also a procrastinator, like me.

Crazy week
This week was not all that great. I got incredibly sick halfway through. I was not just sneezing or anything like that, i was in actual pain for a couple days. Apparently I caught some virus that cause severe throat pain (it felt like strep), ear ache, headache, fever, and cough. I could not move all of Thursday and was literally sitting in bed all day. I absolutely hated it. If anything gets me depressed it's having to sit in a room all day and feeling like I cannot do anything. I could only sleep and try to break the fever.
Luckily, I am better now (just minor coughing) and was able to sit for LSAT exam this morning. That was fun, but I do not really want to talk about it because then I am just going to have to think about it again. Just thought I'd mention it.
Last night Nathaniel (my bf) and I went to Finch's Brassierie to watch some of his professors play in a jazz combo. They were all really amazing and very nice. It is going to be awesome when I am going to see Nathaniel perform either with his bad or with a symphony he is getting paid for.
For those of you that don't know, IU is one of the best music schools in the country. It is awesome to see world-renowned musicians perform and teach here as professors. There is always a show (most of the time free) to see. In fact, I may be going to see a funk/fusion (or something like that?) band perform tonight. After work, of course. For now I get to sit in the library for 3 1/2 more hours!

Funny in Unexpected Places
As I mentioned last week, my boyfriend and I went to the Funny Bone on Friday night to see Arj Barker do a stand up routine. Now, he was pretty funny. You could tell most of what he was saying was improv, which really impresses me. I cannot even FATHOM standing in front of a crowded room of people and trying to make them laugh without having everything prepared.
The funniest part was that he picked a girl that was sitting on the front row and made fun of her the whole show. Of course, I found this especially funny because I was already resentful of the people that snagged the front row seats before I could get there. That fact almost ruined my night.
I was pretty funny that night too, though. When my boyfriend and I arrived at the club, we stepped into the front door and none other than the headliner, Arj Barker, walked straight up to us. There is something you should understand about me. I get star-struck. It is just to weird to see someone in person who I watch on tv every week. I can't take it. So, when Ark Barker walked up to me I did what any person would do that would want to preserve their integrity. I ignored him and talked to the person next to him. Ha.
What I did not expect of that night was that there were 3 openers for Arj, the last of which was the funniest comic of the night. Shes a comiedienne on Comedy Central - I do not remember her name. Anyway she had the entire audience in tears from laughter by the time she was done! I am going to have to say she was the best.
If you get a chance to visit Bloomington the Funny Bone is an entertaining place to stop, after you have dinner at one of the amazing restaurants on Kirkwood.
However, the BEST part about this weekend was that I found out Flight of the Conchords is coming to Bloomington for Little 5 week! Tickets are going on sale this week, and you can bet I will be there early in the morning to snag mine....
Okay, I mention FoC in the past like 3 posts. I am not allowed to do it again for at least another 3. You can call me on it. I do not want to seem like a stalker fan or anything...
